Operations & Finance Manager in Hong Kong

Betatron Venture Group is seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations & Finance Manager to play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of our venture capital fund. Reporting directly to the CEO, this generalist position will be responsible for a wide range of operational, administrative, financial, and compliance-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations:

    • Track and report the fund's cash on hand, ensuring accurate records.

    • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks and liaise with external accounting professionals as needed.

    • Process operational expenses in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Human Resources Support:

    • Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for new employees, including paperwork, system access, and introductions.

    • Facilitate the off-boarding process for departing employees.

    • Assist with maintaining employee records and HR-related documentation.

  • Vendor Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for various vendors, including IT support, office suppliers, and other service providers.

    • Manage vendor relationships, track invoices, and ensure timely payments.

  • General Operations & Administration:

    • Maintain organized filing systems (both physical and digital).

    • Assist with the preparation of presentations and reports.

    • Act as a central point of contact for internal and external inquiries.

  • Compliance:

    • Assist with the implementation and adherence to internal policies and procedures.

    • Support the Managing Partners in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements.

    • Maintain relevant compliance documentation.

    • Assist with ad-hoc compliance-related tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited university.

  • Full-time availability to work in Hong Kong.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a strong attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  

  • Fluency in English is a must. Cantonese is preferred but not a must.

  • Prior experience in an operations, administrative, or finance role is an advantage.

  • Experience in the financial services or venture capital industry is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Compensation, hours, etc:

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.

  • Full-time role at an average of 40 hours per week 

  • We provide the flexibility to work from home or at our office in Sheung Wan at your discretion
